BARK AT THE MOON HOTEL & SPA

About Us

Two Friends. One Dream. A Whole Lot of Rock 'n' Roll.

Every great story has a beginning, and ours started long before Bark at the Moon opened its doors.

Our paths crossed while working in veterinary medicine, where a shared love of animals quickly grew into a friendship built on laughter, teamwork, and quite a few common interests. From rock and metal music to books, plants, and everything in between, we discovered that we had a lot more in common than our careers.

More importantly, we learned how well we worked together. Our strengths complemented one another, we shared the same dedication to the animals in our care, and somewhere along the way, the idea of building something of our own began to take shape.

When an unexpected opportunity arose here in Rogersville, that dream suddenly felt possible.

What followed was months of planning, countless conversations, and a whole lot of hard work. We officially established Bark at the Moon Hotel and Spa, LLC in January 2025, signed our lease in March, and got to work transforming the space into something that felt like us.

On April 12, 2025, we opened our doors.

But Bark at the Moon was never meant to be just another place to board, groom, or drop off your dog for the day.

We wanted to create a place where dogs are recognized as individuals, where their personalities and preferences matter, and where the people caring for them genuinely enjoy getting to know them.

Our backgrounds in veterinary medicine helped shape our approach to handling, comfort, cleanliness, and attentive care. Our friendship and shared vision shaped everything else.

We believe that good pet care isn't one-size-fits-all. Some dogs are ready to make friends and jump straight into the action. Others need a little reassurance, a slower introduction, or simply the freedom to enjoy their own company. Getting to know those differences is one of our favorite parts of what we do.

And while our name might be inspired by the music we love, the heart behind Bark at the Moon has always been the dogs and the families who trust us with them.

We're proud of what we've built together, grateful for the community that has welcomed us, and excited for every new face that walks through our doors.
